
Charity Summer League Rules
1. Teams must consist of 6 or more players of either sex, There are no individual player registration fee but a team registration fee of £35.00. Players of all ages welcome in summer, please check with venue beforehand to confirm they accept people of the age concerned.
2. Individual players may, during the season, play for as many teams as they wish but only one team per match evening.
3. Format of the evening should follow the format on the Result Sheet, apart from the ‘Team Gallon’ match which can be played at any time during the evening, Home Captain’s decision. Singles will be drawn blind but who plays in the doubles will be decided by the Team Captain.
4. Games will start by ‘CLOSEST TO BULL’, winner to go first and third should it go to 3 legs.
5. The Team Gallon will start by the first team player going for bull, winner to start from 1001 straight in, double out, one leg only.
6. Premier Division & Division 1 Singles will be best of five legs, Division 2,3 & 4 Singles will be best of three legs, all pair games will be best of three legs of 501, straight in, double out.
7. The winning team Captain is responsible for making sure that the Result Sheet is posted in the league WhatsApp group & both captains are responsible for transferring monies for there team in the league account within 3 days of the fixture being complete.
8. Fees for the players on the night are £1.50 per player in the Singles & £3.00 per pair in the Doubles, Gallon £2.00 per team making a team total of £20.00 for each match.
9. If a team wishes to contribute more than £20.00 then that amount should be added to the teams £20.00 and noted.
10. The monies collected will be attributed to the individual team apart from the fee of the Gallon, the winning Gallon team will be credited with both fees.
11. Please make sure that Result Sheets & monies are completed completely with details of who won, results of the ‘Gallon’ & how much money was collected, it must all be posted in the league WhatsApp group the night of the fixture following the match. All money must be transferred by the team captain into the league bank account after each match. No cash will be taken by the league. Make sure it is clear when transferring money what fixture it relates to.
12. In the event that you need to cancel or postpone a match, please give your opponents as much notice as possible, in any event 24 hours minimum post in the league WhatsApp group so that it can be noted. If there is less than 24 hours notice the team who do not turn up without notice will forfeit the game and points will be awarded to the other team.
13. In the event of a team dropping out of the league having not completed the fixtures, no monies will be refunded until the end of the season to the designated charity.
14. At the end of the season there will be a Presentation Night, date to be confirmed.
15. In the event that Result Sheets are not handed in, reminder notification will be made via the League’s WhatsApp group.
16. If you do not have enough players (6) to fill the fixture contact the opposition to discuss the possibility of sharing players. Refer to rule 2 when considering this.
17. Fixtures can take place with less players, but the correct number of games must be forfeited before the match begins.
19. Any issues or discrepancies throughout, or even if you have a question please contact the league representative.
20. The Gallon trophy for each league will go to the team with the most gallon wins. If that is the League Winners, then the Gallon trophy will go to the team who came second on gallon wins. If 2 teams finish on the same gallon wins it’ll go of league position, as long as this still follows what has been previously mentioned.
SINGLES COMP – All singles will be best of 3 legs – The final will be best of 5. Looser of each game chalks the next game on the same board.
DOUBLES COMP – All doubles will be best of 3 legs – The final will be best of 5. Looser of each game chalks the next game on the same board.
TRIPLES COMP – Each game will be best of 3 legs. First leg is all 3 players in team. Second leg is a pairs from 2 players in the team. If it goes to a third leg it’ll be the single from the team who didn’t play the double.
This will be all the way through. Looser of each game chalks the next game on the same board.
ALL COMPS START AT 7:30PM – LAST SIGN UP IS 7:15PM. Every Comp is £3.00 a person to enter.
