Winter Darts League - League Standards

League Standards

1, The home team shall ensure that the board is in an acceptable playing condition. Any issues should be reported to the league representative who will inform the committee.

2, dartboard used in PDDA fixtures shall be adequately lit by either at least two suitably positioned light fittings 1600 LM (100 watts) minimum intensity or A commercially manufactured low power LED board surrounding lighting system.

3, The Dart board must have a surround.

4, The oche must be raised and either fixed to the floor or fixed to a mat.

5, Scores must be visible up to the last 3 throws. An electronic board may be used if it can show the last 3 throws for both teams.

6. The ddartboardheight from the floor to the bullseye must be 5 feet 8 inches.

7, The oche distance from the front of the board to the toe line must be 7 feet 9.25 inches.

8, The agreed start time is 8pm for all teams. Please arrive at the venue a minimum of 15 minutes before the start time.

9, Once you start a game, remain in the immediate vicinity until the match is complete. Avoid bathroom breaks, etc during a match.

10, Try to keep breaks between sets to a minimum. 5 minutes max is recommended to keep play going.

11, Start & end each match with a handshake.

12, Keep your distance when your opponent is at the Oche line.

13, Show respect for your opponent.

14, Wait to throw your darts until your opponent is behind you.

15, When playing pairs, cooperate with your partner and jointly plan your strategies. Treat your partner with respect even if he/she does not play at your level of expertise.

16, Report poor sportsmanship to the team captain, a tournament official or a committee member preferably your League Representative.

17, In the event that a member of the PDDL is reported to the PDDL Committee for a violation of the Code of Conduct the PDDL Committee may take any or all the following actions:

    • Verbal warning
    • Written warning
    •  Suspension from the Poole & District Darts League
    •  Expulsion from the Poole & District Darts League
